The creepy boots

Suddenly I saw two unusual gumboots sticking out of a murky shallow mud pond.
I grabbed one of the boots and tugged on it.
Just then a hand came out of the pond and grabbed me by the foot!
I screamed.
It was pulling me down into the fleshy thick moist earth beneath me...
"No!" Something exploded in my mind, then I dragged myself out of the pond to safety of the bank.
Later I was running back to the camp site were mum and my aunt was putting up a tent for the night.but the hand, like a spider crawled over to me but with no one noticing I chucked it away and.....

100 word challenge - the giant pot

I heard a kick from a monstrous angry pot that seems to want something.
I peered though a bush to see what it was doing.
It saw me and charged towards me,I ran and grabbed a long stick.
But I tripped over a tree root in the ground.
I saw its huge gnashing gaping pointy red teeth.I whacked it with the stick I had.
It said "I just wanted to play with you"
I nodded "ok"
So the giant pot and I trotted off to play hide and seek in the garden.

Cultural festival 2013

Tonight's the night!
After many weeks of practice,it was the cultural festival night.
I was very nervous about the night ,over 1,000 people looking on to the stage...
It was a huge place, someone could fit 100 elephants in there...
There were ten other schools waiting in line to get on the stage to preform.
It was scary waiting on backstage to get on the stage to do the Haka (the boys do the Haka) and other Maori songs.
The girls wore a black dress each, also black lipstick and a bunch of feathers in their hair.
Some of the girls had a feather earring on their right ear,I was one of them.
The boys had no shirt and only had black shorts and a piupiu each.
After our performance we got a small water bottle each from Rolleston dairy.
Also we took off our feather earrings and stuff.
We sat on the 2nd top row of the seats.
The end...

Lauren's sugar crystal.

Last week we made sugar crystal by melting sugar in a pot and pouring it in with a pipe cleaner.
Since last week the crystals have grown a lot,
I would say that it was also experimenting how ice crystals are made
In Antarctica.
- Sincerely Lauren.
